Design Software

Stemar has several CAD-packages for the execution of your projects. The package choice depends on your wishes, drawing standard or project complexity. At the front end stage (FEED) of a project we normally start with a 3D model, which will be translated into 2D drawings in a later stage. Many of our clients archive their drawings in native 2D AutoCAD format, but we can deliver the models in various 3D CAD formats.

Autodesk AutoCAD

Stemar has over 20 years of experience with AutoCAD. This package is renowned for its 2D capabilities, but we also use it extensively for 3D modelling.

Autodesk Plant Design Suite Premium (Plant 3D)

For the design of P&ID based piping layouts we use this Autodesk Suite, which is an addition to standard AutoCAD. We are able to generate isometrics and MTO's at the "press of a button". The package also contains a licence of Navisworks Simulate.

Autodesk Inventor

Upon client's request we also use Autodesk Inventor for modelling, but we find this package less suitable for 1-off Industrial Engineering.

Autodesk Raster Design

This is an AutoCAD-add-on for the modification of old scanned drawings. We use it to execute minor modifications to old and archived drawings.

Sheet Lightning

With the stand-alone package Sheet Lightning it is possible to make sheet developments of non-standard shapes.
