| Project During the revamp of 2007 the hot blast main had to be replaced over the total length of 70meter including the bustle pipe. The diameter of the main changed as well as T pieces and refractory. Contribution of Stemar EngineeringFor this project Stemar Engineering started with the design of the new main. The engineering was a combination of designing and stress calculations by the RToD code. The calculations were detailed concerning the stress corrosion.
After the basic engineering the project was contracted. For this contractor we deliverd all the detail shop drawings.
in the third phase we made the engineering plans for the removal of the existing main and the installation of the new one. Herefore lifting equipment and extra steelstructures were designed. All by the ATVH, Corus' code on lifting.
And at last we made the complete as built set in assignment of Corus.
ResultAll designs meet the expectations of the Clients. Also the installation went quick and safe. |
